On Saturday afternoon I attended a Women's Circle. I kind of knew what to expect but I also wasn't really sure. I am finding more & more that I am gravitating towards spiritual events & people to keep my learnings & deep diving into myself on a constant.
Clarissa Shipley & I have connected through insta & my initial interest piqued because she is on my side of town. As I kept in touch, and saw what she was unfolding, I knew that I wanted in.
She has 30 acres in Cottles Bridge & the land can only be described as magical. There are 2 glamping tents onsite which Clarissa uses for photo shoots, retreat days or whatever she needs.
As mother nature was showering us with her many forces, it was decided to move the circle indoors. It was a beautiful, inviting space, perfect for our needs. On arrival we stood keeping warm around the fire & introduced ourselves. We then moved over the hill to look out into the countryside & give thanks to the original owners of the land, take our shoes off and ground ourselves. Once inside, we settled in & Clarissa lead us through what the afternoon involved.
Women's Circles have been around for thousands of years in one form or another. "Women meeting in circles with a spiritual centre, are in a sacred space, are practicing and developing compassion compassion when they listen, and are deepening themselves. The more circles there are, the easier others can form. At the same time, each circle adds to collective human conciousness.'
She cleansed us and our space. She started the ceremony with sharing her own intentions and then invited us to do the same. It's funny how you think you have nothing to say, or youre not quite sure why you are there, & then when you are offered a safe space to share, words & thoughts spill out. We each had a different story & yet were there for a common reason.
We laughed, we cried, we hugged & we held space for each other.
We journaled about what no longer served us & then did a manifesting/cleansing ceremony around the fire.
After a cuppa & a delicious platter, we journaled our wants & desires for ourselves & then Clarissa lead us through a beautiful manifesting meditation.
The energy in the room was powerful & intoxicating. We walked in 6 strangers & left 6 friends that are keen to watch and keep in touch & see how our 'new" journey unfolds.
Women together are empowering and can wonderful things.
I am excited to see my wishes come true & I cannot wait to head up the track in Cottles Bridge & do it all again.
